

Edwin “Ned” Weber, age 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was born November 10, 1934, in East Orange, New Jersey to the late William and Dorothy Weber. Ned grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois and graduated from Hinsdale Township High School in 1953, before graduating from Ohio Wesleyan in 1957 with a B.A. in economics, and Ohio University in 1962 with an M.A. in business. It was at Ohio University where he met Mary Gooding, his loving wife of 44 years.
He spent his entire career at Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies in Columbus, OH and was a member of the faculty at Franklin University and Columbus State Community College, teaching history and economics. He was a long-time member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church and served on various committees at the church. Ned is survived by his two children, Bryan (Kathy) Weber, Susanne (Brian) Sleeper, his six grandchildren, Jason Weber, Alyson Weber, Adam Weber, Madeline Sleeper, Kayleigh Sleeper, Martin Sleeper, his brother, Dr. Thomas Weber, and other cherished family members. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and most recent wife, Peggy Zepp Weber.
Ned was a true gentleman, a very devoted, and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend who will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 4-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 6699 N. High St., with a funeral service the following day, April 19, 2023, at 10 am, at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON FUNERAL HOME, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware, Oh.
