Jeanette was born in Beckley, West Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Virginia (Lilly) DiCiuccio, and her sisters, Mary Kathryn Endicott and Patricia Aliff. She is survived by her son, Joseph Andrew Phillips, and daughters, Mary Deanette Irwin and Kimberly Dawn (Karl) Kuehner. Jeanette was a proud grandmother to Benjamin (Elena) Schenko, Victoria Schenko, Christopher (Aiza) Weber, Dustin Weber, Michael (Nicole) Flores, Jesse Phillips, and Nichole (Adam) McKay. She also cherished her fourteen great-grandchildren and fourteen furry grandchildren.
Jeanette is also survived by her bonus sons, Keith Cornwell and Rob Bauer, and dear friends June Detwiler and Maria Frazier, who visited regularly throughout her illness. She was grateful for the friends who helped care for her, including Patrice Sorenson and Tammy Thomas, and neighbors Alan and Kristen Dove, who brought her the best doughnuts and shared their grandchildren with her. Special caregivers Willette, Zenab, and Cerriti, along with hospice nurses Kim and Andrea, provided invaluable support. It truly took a village, and these people were Jeanette’s village.
Jeanette’s West Virginia accent was a charming hallmark that she retained throughout her 50+ years in Ohio. Her kind and forgiving heart were evident to all who met her. Jeanette chose to see the world through rose-colored glasses and lived a life of forgiveness.
She loved spending time with her family, whether it was at the July 4th cookout and parade, passing out Halloween candy, or crafting with the kids. Christmas was a particularly special time for Jeanette, filled with joy and family gatherings.
Jeanette’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will be remembered by all who knew her.
