Kathryn Rose Crider, 53, of Columbus passed away on August 25, 2024. She was born on March 19, 1971 to Nancy and the late William Medved. In addition to her father, Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandmother Rose, former husband of many wonderful years, Brian, and furry friends Killian and Bear.
Kathryn was a highly creative, thoughtful, and caring woman, and she’d always let you know it with her handmade crafts, scrapbooks, and mementos made just for you. Her other creative outlets included jamming out to some of her favorite late-80s-early-90s indie bands, scoping out the next extravagant meal to tingle her tastebuds at Claudiana’s, Hyde Park, and Eddie Merlot’s (to list a few), enjoying poetry, in particular, a classic Edgar Allen Poe poem, or watching her favorite Lifetime movies. Kathryn’s creativity knew no bounds and came from all areas of her life. As a long-time Columbus resident, first moving here to attend the Ohio State University School of Dentistry, Kathryn lead a successful career as a dental hygienist while sprouting roots and raising a family in Columbus. Kathryn was an incredible mother to her two daughters, and her legacy will forever be carried on through them. Her residency in Columbus didn’t stop her from showing her love of the Cleveland Browns and Indians, however, and she remained a loyal fan until her passing.
Kathryn will be greatly missed by her mother, Nancy Medved; children, Alyssa and Jamison Crider, and beloved pets Henry and Faith, along with everyone that has been touched by Kathryn’s heart and soul.
A public visitation for Kathryn will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, followed by a service at 2:00 PM.
The family invites you to join for a mass service on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave, Willoughby, OH 44094 followed by interment at 12:30 at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024.
