Elder Kwang-Chun Choe, 86, passed away in peace on April 30th, 2022. Elder Choe was born June 18, 1935, in Korea. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1973. In the States, he worked as an electrician for General Motors, until he retired in 2001.
Elder Choe loved God and his family. He was devoted to his work as a church planter in obedience to God. He served to form the Dae-nong Methodist Church in Pyong-taek, Korea during the sixties and the Korean Sandusky Methodist Church in the seventies. He was ordained as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Fremont, Ohio; he also served as an elder in the Korean Mansfield United Methodist Church; and was elder emeritus of Joeun Korean Methodist Church of Columbus.
Elder Choe enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid fisherman and golfer. He is survived by his wife, Bo Young; his children, Yong (Chung) and Susan (John); his grandchildren, Ellie (David) and Paul; and his great grandchildren, Rosie and Jude.
Elder Choe fought a good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the faith.
The visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 PM. The bural service and interment will follow at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43202.
