Lucille Porter

Lucille Porter, 87, of Columbus, passed away on September 9, 2022. She was born on March 4, 1935, in Puritan Mines, West Virginia, to the late Harry and Margaret (Lehotai) Mikailian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Porter; siblings, Harry Mikailian Jr, Mary Sheppard, Rosa Lee Miller and Imogene Hunley; grandchild, Lora Lee Morris; nephew, Frankie Mikailian; and her niece, Margaret Marie Hunley.

Lucille was raised in Delbarton, West Virginia and graduated from Burch High School in 1954. Lucille moved to Ohio where she met Everett and they were married in 1956. Lucille worked for various bakeries and retired from the Bakery and Confectionery Union after 27 years of service. Lucille was an avid sports fan and especially like The Ohio State Buckeyes

Lucille will be greatly missed by her children, Terry (Mike) Shomber, Wanda (Mark) Benver, and Tommy (Tonya) Porter; brother, Johnny Mikailian; grandchildren, Victor Morris (Jen Mills), Gary (Jenn) Morris, Mark Benver Jr., Nicholas Benver and Gabriel Porter; great grandchildren, Lilly and Ethan.

A graveside service for Lucille will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Blendon Central Cemetery, 6330 South Hempstead Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
