Marilyn worked at AT&T as a service specialist for some time. She also enjoyed working at Easton shoes - a fitting role for someone who had quite the collection herself. A member of the Catholic Church, Marilyn lived a life rooted in compassion and service.
She had a deep love for animals, especially Dobermans. As a devoted foster mom to dogs, Marilyn opened her home to many Dobermans over the years, sharing this passion with her sister, Kathy, through their volunteer work with Hand Me Down Dobes. While Dobermans held a special place in her heart, she also adored Greyhounds, Borzois, and cats, never turning away an animal in need.
Marilyn’s kindness extended far beyond her love for animals. She was known for her generous spirit, her willingness to help others, and her joyful nature. She loved a good party, spending time with family and friends. Many described her as magnetic - someone who naturally drew people in with her warmth and genuine care for others. She was surrounded by loved ones throughout her life and especially in her final days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles; and her sister, Connie Holtz.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Kathy Holtz, brother, Doug (Penny) Holtz; her nieces, Carolyn and Allison; great-nieces and nephews, and numerous friends, all of whom will cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on May 4, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
