

Marilyn was born to the late Esther Meyer Lindemuth and Thurman Lindemuth. She graduated from Minster High School, where she was honored as the homecoming queen. She furthered her education at Capital University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education, and later obtained a Master's degree in Education from Miami University.
Marilyn dedicated her career to teaching elementary school in the Columbus City Schools. She was married to the late Otto Jay Swisher III, affectionately known as Jay, who preceded her in death. Together, they were loving God-Parents to Emily Barto and Abby Juhola. They were enthusiastic fans of Ohio State University sports.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters, Louise Baker and Mildred Witwer (Fred Witwer), her nieces Leslie Mayes and Kathryn Stoddard, her nephew Luther Baker, and her husband's cousins Chris Rasor, James and Carolyn Dunnett. Marilyn is also survived by her special friends Denise and Michael Juhola, Randy Burchfield, and Judy Valentine.
Marilyn was a long-time member of the Fellowship Of Young Lutherans (F.O.Y.L.) and North Community Lutheran Church. She was a current member of All Saints Lutheran Church.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Wesley Glen Memory Care staff and the Wesley Glen Hospice nurses, with special thanks to her personal aide of two years, Mary Ellen Delaney, who brought laughter and loving care to Marilyn’s last years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s name to a charity of your choosing. Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington on January 5, 2026, at 1 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2 PM. Schoedinger Worthington is located at 6699 N High St, Worthington, OH 43085.
