Naomi Ruth Vinson, of Satellite Beach, Florida and longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully with family by her side at home in Florida on June 28, 2025. Naomi was born April 5, 1933, in Huntington, West Virginia to her parents Dwight and Thelma Artis Setliff.
Naomi was the retired owner, with her husband, of Vinson Furniture in Columbus, Ohio. She was active in her church and loved playing cards, thrifting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to socialize and will be remembered for being a loving and caring person who treasured time with her family. She will be missed for her little “Happy Gifts”, the cookies she baked for her grandkids and for her dress-up outfits for holidays and sporting events.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents and siblings as well as her husband, Junior Ray Vinson.
She is survived by her children Carolyn Miller, Ray, Jr., Gary (Sue) and Mike (Judy); as well as 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Naomi’s family will receive friends from 12pm to 1:30pm on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Schoedinger Funeral Service, Worthington, 6699 N High Street. Funeral Service to follow at 1:30pm, with burial at Union Cemetery, Columbus.
