It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my mom and dad, Patricia Ann Clippard, and Richard William Clippard. Mom passed peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025 and dad 6 days and 2 minutes later on August 1, 2025. I had the honor of spending the last few months with them in my home and on hospice care. Mom and dad were married 67 years and shared a life of love and laughter. Dad was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He was part of Operation Magic Carpet, one of the greatest achievements of the entire war. His ship, the USS Shamrock Bay (CVE-84) took part in bringing 22,222 Americans home every day for nearly one year straight. Dad also started a Friday night poker group consisting of neighborhood men who met and played nickel and dime poker games bi-weekly for more than 35 years. Mom was involved with bridge clubs her friends for more than 40 years. Dad retired from General Electric after a long career as an Electrical Engineer while mom babysat and worked as a cafeteria server at The Wellington School for 8 years. They both will be deeply missed. Mom and dad are preceded in death by my brother, Mark Clippard. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
