Ricky "Rick" Allen Patterson

Ricky “Rick” Allen Patterson of New Lexington, Oh passed away on Monday March 28, 2022 in Ohio. He was the only child of James William Patterson Jr and Mary Ellen Castle born on June 16, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio. He leaves behind his loving wife Karen Renee’ (Boles) Patterson.

He attended Hilliard schools from Kindergarten to graduation. He was proud to be a part of the Graduating Class of 1977. After graduation Rick went on to serve his country as a SSGT in the United States Air force from 1978 to 1984. After the Air Force he married Karen on November 17, 1989 in Hilliard, OH. He also had many accomplishment’s, he built the B-1 Bomber at Rockwell in Columbus, Flying Tigers Air Cargo at Rickenbacker Air Force Base, B-2 Bomber in Palmdale, CA and was the head paralegal for Child Support Enforcement in Newark, OH.

Rick had a passion for watching football (especially OSU) and Formula One drag racing. He loved animals, concerts, reading and painting ceramics. The family would like to give a special thanks to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OSU Rhoades Hall 10th floor, Altercare in Somerset and his caregiver Danielle Amerine for all the exceptional care and compassion.

A visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 from 1-4pm at Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 High Street, Worthington, OH. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 12pm.
