

Sheila was the beloved wife of Fred Orin Adkins (63) for 25 wonderful years, having united in marriage on June 27, 2000.
For over 20 years, Sheila dedicated her life to caring for others as a home health aide, making a profound difference in the lives of those she served with compassion and kindness. After leaving her career in healthcare, she embraced the role of homemaker, where she found joy in taking care of her family and home. Sheila was known for her generosity and big heart. She enjoyed the great outdoors, loved animals especially cats. She shared a bond with her black cat (Tinkerbell) who was fiercely devoted to her, where for 12+ years they had a special companionship. She had a special fondness for children, bringing joy and warmth wherever she went. A die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, Sheila took pride in cheering for her team through thick and thin, and was thrilled to have visited Wrigley Field.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Denny) Moniz; her stepdaughters, Cassie (Eric) Croyle and Christina (Zac) Butterfield; her step-grandchildren, Logan (13), Oliver (10), Elaina (10), Jason (8), and Elliot (4); her sisters, Sherry (Greg) Ault and Sheryl (Paul) Cooney; brother, Tony (Lori) Nienhaus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sheila will also be dearly missed by many close friends and loved ones.
A Visitation will held on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 2pm until 5pm, at the Schoedinger Worthington funeral home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories of her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Saint Jude’s Hospital, a cause close to Sheila's heart.
Her love, warmth, and kindness will forever be cherished by all whose lives she touched.
