

Virginia Lee (Detwiler) Luft June 27, 1930 - November 14, 2024. “Ginnie” went home to her heavenly reward at the age of 94 after suffering for years with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Columbus, Ohio. Virginia graduated from her beloved South High School in 1948, worked at Ohio Bell and joined the Ohio Bell Choir. She retired years later from the Columbus (Ohio) City Schools as a school bus driver. After retirement she moved to Palmetto, Florida, she passed away in Sun City Florida. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Palmetto. Preceded in death were her husband Richard Luft and her parents Hazel and Chester Detwiler. She left behind her loving children and families: Jeff (LaurelLynn) Luft his son Brenden (Stephanie) their sons Sawyer and Brody, his daughter Christa (Eric) Lopez, Sue (Gary) Vinson, their son Gary (Wendy) Vinson ll their children Alexis (Robbie) Beitman their son Oliver, Kaitlyn (Cole) Farris and Grace Vinson, their son Phil (Kristin) Vinson their children Phillip Jr and Joseph, their daughter Terra (Chad) Magistro, Melia, Anthony John (AJ) and Victoria, Teri (Mike) Beebe and their 4 daughters Katie (John) Lewis, Maggie (Bud) Wendel and their children Michael, Emily, Melanie and Aulani. Sarah (Daniel) Ballew, Jennifer (Dave) Durbin and their son William. A special thank you to Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care, Lifepath Hospices the Purple Team. There will be a private Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
