

Alton George Hall, a devoted pastor and cherished family man, passed away suddenly at age 74 on November 22, 2024, in Yakima, Washington. Born on July 8, 1950, at a home in Steuben, Maine, Alton was the son of Marjorie Grant Hall and Alvin Hall Sr. He was the 9th of ten children.
Alton graduated from Narraguagas High School in 1969 and pursued his calling at the New Brunswick Bible Institute, graduating with the class of 1972. His passion for ministry led him to serve congregations in Quebec, Maine, and ultimately Washington, where he touched countless lives with his compassion and dedication.
On November 5, 1976, Alton married the love of his life, Patricia McGraw in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and community. They moved to the Yakima Valley in May of 1978. There Alton became a proud father to two daughters, Colleen Hall of Richland, WA, and Kimberly Miller (Ryan) of Tieton, WA. His legacy continues through his six wonderful grandchildren: Elise Klepach (17), Chase Smith (16), Liam Klepach (15), Brooke Smith (13), Emily Miller (10), and Katie Miller (8).He is survived by two brothers: Alvin Hall Jr. and Everard Hall of Maine, brother-in-laws - David McGraw of Yakima and Thom (Lynda)McGraw of Beverly, Massachusetts, mother-in-law - Caroline McGraw of Harrah, many nieces and nephews, as well as several dear friends and church members.
A lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, Alton carried his New England roots with him wherever he went, always holding a special place in his heart for his east coast family and the region he called home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters - Marilyn, Elizabeth, Alvina, Loretta, brothers - Nathan, Stanley, and Carroll.
Alton's life was a testament to his unwavering faith and love for those around him. His gentle spirit, sense of humor, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He loved the Lord and wanted others to be able to experience the same love and peace that he had with Jesus. The experience of salvation was truly life changing and he lived that. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at the Harrah Community Church on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00pm with a dessert fellowship reception to follow.
