

He was born in Seattle, WA. and lived at Ft. Simcoe,WA, Black Rock, NM. and Whiteriver, AZ. during early years while his father was employed by the U.S. Indian Service. Later he lived in Marysville and Toppenish, WA. before coming to Yakima Arnold attended and graduated from Toppenish, High School in 1933 where he was awarded a scholarship to Whitman College.
Arnold was employed at JC Penney Co. store in Toppenish until 1942 when he was employed by the Calif Packing Corp. In 1940 he married Martha Lubbers, who was also employed at the JC Penney Co. store and lived in Toppenish until 1950, when he was transferred to the Yakima Plant, now known as Del Monte Corp. He retired in 1977 as Office Mgr. of the Plant.
He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Yakima since 1950 and served several terms on the Church Council and as President of the Congregation. He lived in the Terrace Heights area from 1954 to 1985 operating a small pear orchard. At that time they sold the orchard and moved to Windcrest Villa in Yakima.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Martha Loewe of Yakima; three sons and wives: Dennis and Cathy Loewe of Gig Harbor, WA., Eldon and Aurelia Loewe of Vancouver, WA., and Gary Loewe of Boise, Idaho; Eight grandchildren twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Central Lutheran Church. Private inurnment will be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. To share a memory, visit www.keithandkeith.com. Arrangements are in the care of Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
