She was born in Vancouver, Washington on August 21, 1927 to Gene and Irene (Miller) Dahlgren. Mrs. Powell worked as a bookkeeper, with the family owned business, VK Powell and Company for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry Powell, Leslie Paddock and Billie Woodcock all of Yakima;
three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Barbara’s life for family and friends will be held at the Yakima Country Club, 500 Country Club, Yakima on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
