Betty was born to John and Lutie Crothers on January 20, 1923 in Omak, Washington. Her family moved around during her childhood, finally settling in Naches, WA. She met and married Wilbur “Bill” DeMoss and they had three boys. In addition to raising her kids, she was a hard worker... a packer of apples, a checker at grocery stores, and a restaurant cook.
In her later years, she met and married John Bryan and lived in Greenwater, WA for many years. In 1999 she and John decided to move back to the Yakima Valley. Among Betty’s many passions were quilting and gardening as is evidenced by the beautiful flower bed that was her front yard. She is now planting flowers with Jesus.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband John; son Dennis; sisters Ruth, May and Fern; and brothers Jack, Ernie and Guy “Corky”. She is survived by sons Larry DeMoss (Kathy); Lonnie “Mike” DeMoss; three grandchildren, Deavelin, Cari and Paula; several great grandchildren, a 104 year old sister, Sophrona, and several nieces and nephews.
Betty’s wish was for no formal service, but family will be planning a Celebration of her life at a later date. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
