Dan Kenworthy Hull, loved husband of Candace Hull, walked into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on January 11, 2026. Dan was born on October 5,1949 to David Hull and Gene Brown Hull in Yakima, WA.
Dan attended West Valley High School where he played baseball, wrestled, and occasionally studied. He went to the high school state wrestling tournament two years in a row. His junior year he won second place and his senior year he took third. He attended college at WSU majoring in agriculture. He pledged to the Sigma Nu fraternity and joined ROTC.
Dan started farming at an early age, just tall enough to milk the cow and carry the milk bucket just above snow level. It was his dream job to work with his dad and brothers on Hull Ranches. Later he began working for Apple Tree Golf Course building water features and contouring the course. Soon he was working for Borton & Sons hauling fruit and operating heavy equipment. He loved his work.
Dan is survived by his wife of 53 years Candy, daughter Deanna Gill (Ryan), and son Bryan. Grandchildren Nicholas (Heather) and Lauren Widaman and Kaytlin Diaz (Edgar), and Wyatt Hull (Hailey). Surviving great-grandchildren are Jackson Walter Widaman, (and Greyson to be born in April), and Lucas and Emry Diaz. He also has two bonus granddaughters Kayleigh and Kaitlyn Gill. Six siblings also survive him: Chris Steinmetz (Skip), Laurel Brunssen (Don), Sam Hull (Sandi), Aaron Hull (Nancy), Alice Campbell (Steve), and John Hull (Jennifer). Sister-in-law Cheryl Hauck (Bob), brother-in-law Butch Schlagel (Robin), and mother-in-law Leora Schlagel.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Gene Hull, sister Verna Wisner, nephew Drew Campbell, niece Sarah Hull, sister-in-law Cyndi Page, and father-in-law Walt Schlagel.
A visitation will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, located at 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, on January 16, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Ahtanum Pioneer Church, located at 8500 Ahtanum Rd, Yakima, WA 98903, on January 17, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. A reception will follow the service.
