Daniel F. Schneider passed away December 7, 2014 in Yakima. He was born in Toppenish on December 20, 1957 to Frank and Leesie Schneider. After attending East Valley High School, he graduated in 1977. Growing up with his nine siblings, he had always enjoyed spending time with family.
As a young man, Dan spent time participating in numerous activities including motor cross racing and boxing. These hobbies continued throughout his life along with hunting, camping, snowmobiling and running just to name a few. He and Sandy Jacobsen were married August 8, 1980 at Holy Redeemer Church in Yakima. They went on to have their two daughters, Koreena and Kasey. Dan worked as a baker at Snyder’s Bakery and currently as a Commodity Inspector for Washington State for the past thirteen years.
Some of his favorite times were going to the beach along with family and hunting with his brothers and nephews. Being a huge NASCAR and Seahawks fan, he was fond of watching these sports with family as well. Dan has also been known for his story telling abilities and entertained us all! Playing and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as watching them participate in sports were of very high importance and a great joy to him.
Dan is beloved by all whom have known him, has touched many lives and leaves us all with the fondest memories. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandy, his daughters, Koreena Sedge of Naches, Kasey Schneider of Yakima, grandchildren, Treydon, Kainen, Kyla, Keira and Kaitryn, mother, Leesie Schneider, father and stepmother, Frank and Irene Schneider, brothers, John (Tammy) Schneider, Bob (Royale) Schneider, sisters, Vickie Lamar, Alaina (Ted) Deccio, Joan (Phil) Martelli, Doris Sanders, Rena (Kevin) Crawford, Julie Patnode, Angie (Wayne) Haubrich and several nieces and nephews.
