Dennis G. Stamey

Dennis was born May 10, 1932 in Bells, Texas to Bess Buel and Mary Lorene Green Stamey. He went to be with the Lord March 9, 2012. The family moved to Hagerman, New Mexico where Dennis began his schooling. He also supplemented the family income by picking cotton.

After his father passed away in 1946, the family migrated to Yakima, WA where Dennis graduated from Yakima High School in 1952. After graduation, Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He proudly served his country for 20 years, attained the rank of Master Sergeant and retired in 1972.

Dennis’s interests were photography, coin collecting, bowling and reading.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Bess Gearhart and her husband Merle of Goldendale; his friend and caregiver, Marcie Scheer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Carl Lloyd Stamey and Bobby Houston Stamey.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home 9th Avenue Chapel. Funeral service will be on Thursday at Keith and Keith 9th Ave Chapel at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
