Don grew up in Wiley City and as a young man inherited the nickname “Whitey” because of the light color of his hair. Don’s greatest hobbies were fishing, shooting sage rats with his pellet gun and going to yard sales. He was always the first one to get out of the car for the best buy. Don was also a collector of knives, guns, and anything having to do with fishing.
