He graduated from high school in Harlowton, Montana and attended Basic Training for the Montana National Guard immediately after finishing high school. He graduated from University of Montana School of Pharmacy in Missoula. Later he received a Master’s in Health Administration from Whitworth College in Spokane.
His Pharmacy practice included Retail, Clinical, and Hospital Pharmacy Practice in Montana and Washington State.
Don had a love for running and shared it with his children and grandchildren; he ran at least four marathons. He started downhill skiing later in life and loved doing it until he broke his leg.
He married Gloria Griffiths and is survived by her and their three daughters, Kari, Trina (Andrew) Hovsepian and Jodi (Benjamin) Cotton; Six granddaughters Alexa (Peter), Kathryn, Haley, Brooke, Sammy and Katie; Two grandsons Nick and Jacob; Four great grandchildren Wesley, Levi, Mason and Sadie; Two sisters Debra and Judith, and two brothers Michael and Alan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Wood and Ruth Hendrickson.
