Douglas Anthony Perrault

Doug graduated from Carroll High School with the class of 1972. He continued his education at YVCC where he earned his Associate’s Degree. Following his education, he worked for Western RV, Peoples Dept. Stores and for the last 31 years has been employed by Ace Hardware in Moxee.

Doug enjoyed and was an expert in collecting antiques and thoroughly enjoyed the hunt, especially in thrift stores. He was often called upon to give advice to other collectors on the value and history of a piece. He was also an avid NASCAR fan, particularly of Jeff Gordon, and his vacations were often planned around NASCAR races and antiquing. His family will remember Doug as a great storyteller, especially the ones about “the house on Charron,” his youthful spirit and his holiday visits.

He is survived by his loving mother M. Bernice “Val” Perrault; sisters Renee (Richard) Gillaspie, Denise (John) Herman and Diane Evert; brothers Kent (Tamara) Perrault, Michael (Donna) Perrault and David Perrault; nine nieces and nephews (who knew him as Uncle Smokey); and five great nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his father Ralph.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 7th at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Church, 201 N. Iler, Moxee.
