

Edwin “Ed” Leroy McBath, 80, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 2, 2016 in Yakima, WA. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Williamsburg, Kansas to Samuel L. and Leia E. (Palmer) McBath.
Ed served in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic with the 524th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Following his discharge, Ed spent his life working for various companies as a mechanic and later as a cook assisting his life companion Ruth at JB’s Restaurant. He worked right up to just a few months of passing.
He was a good man who loved working to provide and care for his family. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a quiet man and farewell saying “I Love You Mostess.”
He is survived by his life companion Ruth E. Kublic; daughters Diana Van Horn, Ruth (Scott) Johnson, Winnie (David Bell) McBath and Rhonda Wilkerson; son Richard McBath; grandchildren Tiffany Johnson, Jennifer Salinas, Scott Johnson Jr. and Melissa Van Horn; great-grandchild Caitlyn St. Clair and numerous more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by siblings Frances Hone, Gerrie Thompson, Bill McBath and Mary Murch
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a son, Jeffrey McBath.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm, Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the McBath family home.
