

Emma was born Sept 24, 1911 in Ashley, N. Dakota to Gotlieb and Christina Sperle. She was the oldest of 10 siblings. Emma never had a chance for much of an education being the oldest, having to stay home and help on the farm.
Emma was married to Arthur Heyd in 1929 to 1961 having a family of 5 children, they moved from Dakota to Yakima, WA. Moving to the small town of Wiley City. The family worked in the Hop fields, Orchards and fruit warehouse till her first husband passed in 1961.
Emma met Jack Wolfe and they married in 1966. They both retired, Jack from being a builder and Emma from working in the laundry at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. They enjoyed visiting with friends, going to Grange dances. They traveled a lot, finally moving to Arizona. After they travelled some more, moving back to Yakima, to be close to family.
Emma was preceded in death by 3 children, Virginia Allen of Selah, WA, and sons, Elroy of S. Dakota, and Marvin Heyd of North Carolina; and 7 siblings,
She is survived by her Husband, Jack Wolfe of Selah Rehab and Care, 1 daughter Yvonne (Vonnie) McElrea of Yakima, WA, one son Ron Heyd of Ocean Shores, step children Jim Wolfe of Sandpoint, ID, and Peggy Matteucci of Woodinville, WA., and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Otto Sperle of Aberdeen, S. Dakota, Ervin Sperle of Union Gap, WA, and sister Esther Gienger of Aberdeen, S. Dakota and one very beloved son-in-law Mel Allen who visited her daily. We’ll love you forever and miss you greatly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Chapel with interment to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
