

Falcnor served in the Army Air Force during WW II. He was stationed at Hickam Field, next to Pearl Harbor, during the 1941 bombing.
He married Goldie Parker on June 1, 1946 at her home near Trousdale, Kansas. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Falcnor worked for Boeing in Wichita, then Soil Conservation Service and finally Bureau of Indian Affairs. He and Goldie moved a few times, eventually to Yakima in 1968 with their 3 boys.
Falcnor was active at Wesley United Methodist Church. He had great fun playing cards with friends. He also loved working with wood and other projects around the house. Falcnor was active in the 43rd Bomb Group and attended several reunions around the country. He was involved in the Yakima Engineers Club, Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie; sons: Rick (Jan) Gifford of
Yakima, Carl (Nancy) Gifford of Buckley, Larry Gifford of Selah;
sisters: Mercedes Strong of Wichita and Roberta Gifford of Santa Fe;
grandchildren, Scott, Lauren, Amanda, Bryce, Jessica & Garrett, Douglas and
Steven; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Linaye, Dillon, Piper and Alessa.
Preceded in death by: his parents and sister Avis Brooks and brothers Lyle and Dale Gifford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial Hospital Cottage in the Meadow, Union Gospel Mission or a charity of choice.
Falcnor is dearly loved by his family. We will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be at Noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
