

James Q. Daughtrey was born in Collins, Mississippi on August 31, 1934 and went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 26, 2015. Jim was a devoted husband and married to Loretta Daughtrey for 58 years. He was an Army veteran finishing his service of 4 years in Fort Lewis, Washington. He was a member of West Valley Nazarene Church. He was “a long haul trucker" for 50 years and retired from Walmart.
Jim was a loving and giving father and grandfather who enjoyed family times. He enjoyed all sports, fishing and going to the Oregon coast during family vacations, whenever possible. Jim will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him but never forgotten. His family rejoices knowing that he is with his Lord Jesus Christ now and forevermore.
The Daughtrey family would like to express their deep heartfelt gratitude to The Cottage in the Meadow for all their loving care and support during very difficult times.
Mr. Daughtrey is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Torres. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Daughtrey of Yakima, Mike Daughtrey of Yakima, Steve (Cheryl) Daughtrey of Yakima, Jeff (Marie) Daughtrey of Ellensburg and four grandchildren, Chris Martin of Yakima, David Daughtrey of Yakima, Megan and Jeremy Daughtrey of Yakima, as well as son-in-law Jesse Torres of Yakima.
Viewing will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Graveside services will be held at West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd. Yakima WA at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
