

Jan graduated from West Valley High School in 1974. After attending Central Washington University, Jan began her career at Blue Cross. She later joined Providence foundation as the Administrative Assistant to her lifelong friend, John Colgan. After many years with Providence, this team took their talents to the LaSalle Foundation.
Bainbridge Island was one of Jan’s favorite travel destinations, both as an adult and as a child. She was a member of the Bainbridge Island Historical Society. When Jan was not traveling, she enjoyed crafts, reading and spending time with her two grandsons. Family was very important to her. She was a friend to all dogs, but her dog, “Buddy”, held a special place in her heart.
Jan is survived by her mother, Kathryn; her son, Tony Somohano (Melissa) of Oro Valley, Ariz.; grandsons, Anthony and Taylor Somohano, also of Oro Valley; her sister, Gail Kirkes of Green Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Clay Lundgren of Mill Creek, Wash., Eric (Tamera) of Yakima, Wash.; and niece, Sadie Lucitante of Texas.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, William Lundgren.
Her wish was to have no formal services, but to have a small graveside gathering of close friends and family at Port Blakley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Central Washington, in her memory.
