Janice Lee Schorle

Janice Lee Schorle (Taylor) passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 75. Janice was born in Yakima, WA on September 28th, 1946, to Lela Watkins and Carl Taylor and was later adopted by Carol Taylor. After graduating from Selah High, she continued her education with beauty school.

Jan enjoyed collecting distressed furniture, knickknacks, chickens and teapots. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she would decorate the whole house every year. She also loved Bingo and would play with her ladies once a month for years. Jan was also an active and dedicated member of Stone Church. For many years she enjoyed celebrating the Lord through song as a participant in the choir.

Her children will remember her as a kind, gentle and patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She loved her family and friends and always saw the best in people.

Jan is survived by her brother Kenneth Taylor (wife, Rosie), daughter Wendy Whitney, son Carl Whitney (wife, Marci). Grandchildren Nicole Whitney, Julien and Dylan Whitney and great-grandson Fernando Whitney. Jan is preceded in death by her parents Carl, Carol, and Lela Taylor and sister Joyce Kredit. Her last month she would talk about how much she missed her parents and how she couldn’t wait to see them again.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sherfield, her caregiver Ashley and the staff at Memorial Hospital for their care and dedication.
