

Joseph “Joe” William Goffin Jr, 88, of Arlington, WA passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, after a 15+ year battle with cancer. He was born on July 19, 1937, in Mason City, WA to Joseph & Marian Goffin.
He joined the United States Marine Corps and served our country for three years. Then he joined Carnation Dairy as a delivery driver and later promoted to Retail Supervisor of the drivers and mechanics’ garage. He retired with approximately 40 years of service.
He married on August 17,1957 to his beloved wife Patricia Dianne Goffin and together they raised three children. Joe was active in his community. He was a volunteer to raise funds for Cascade Valley Hospital to upgrade and remodel the hospital. He was also involved in manning a booth for gas powered model airplanes, at the Arlington Fly In, with the members of a model airplane club he was a member of.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Goffin, children Joseph Goffin III (Cheri), Tammi Rickard (James), grandchildren Christopher Goffin (Brittney), Curtis Goffin (Kanoe), Stephanie Larkin (Matthew), Samantha Rickard and Megan Brown (Chance), numerous great grandchildren, sisters Leslee Thomas, Aleta Harris and Carol Sexton (Larry), brothers Ronald Simmons (Nancy), Terry Simmons (Marilyn), David Goffin (Laurie), and their families.
Joe was preceded in death by daughter, Terri Rae Goffin, parents Joseph Goffin and Marian Simmons, brother, Wallace Gene Simmons, sisters Joanna Thum and Barbara Masilan, niece Jennifer Masilan, and nephew Troy Simmons.
