Kenneth G. Schiffelbein, 69, of Selah, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Born on December 16, 1956, in Yakima, Washington, to Clarence and Jeanne (Heeke) Schiffelbein, Ken was raised in Selah. He attended Selah High School, where during his senior year he met Jannell Blackledge, the love of his life. They were married on May 22, 1976.
That same year, Ken came to know the Lord as his Savior and began faithfully attending church. He and his family served together at Selah Bible Baptist Church for many years until his passing.
Ken’s artistic talent shone through both his beloved hobby of painting and his skilled work as a cabinetmaker and craftsman. He began his career as a young man and later built a successful business, owning Artistic’s Cabinet & Millwork until his retirement in early 2024.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Jannell Schiffelbein, their four children: Eric Schiffelbein, Kelly (William) Heinecke, Karen (Preston) Hoiseth, and Kyle (Ariana) Schiffelbein, and nine cherished grandchildren: William Jr. (22), James (19), Vladimir (19), Cameron (18), Raelynn (17), Johanna (13), Madilyn (12), Julianna (10), and Sofia (8).
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert.
The family invites friends and loved ones to share fond memories and photos on the Keith & Keith website. These will be collected into a beautiful memory book for Jannell.
