He married Nancy Woodin in 1963 and together they had three daughters: Karen, Susan and Roberta. Ron and Nancy were married for 53 years.

Ron and Nancy together enjoyed over 35 years in the powersports industry which enabled them to travel extensively and where they made many wonderful friends.
Ron enjoyed his family and all things outdoors. He could be found hunting deer and elk in the fall, snowmobiling in the winter, trout fishing in the spring and summer and salmon fishing whenever and wherever the season was open. He enjoyed clam digging and crabbing as well…Nancy and his girls were his most constant hunting and fishing companions.
Ron and Nancy retired to Yakima where they enjoyed their small apple orchard and their huge garden.
