Linda was an incredible wife, mother, and homemaker. She was raised in Vancouver, WA and loved spending time showing Arabian horses and enjoying life with her parents and brother Little Joe. She moved to Yakima at the start of her junior year of high school in 1957. There she met her lifelong love and future husband David Gaffney. Linda attended the University of Washington where she graduated with a B.A in Journalism. She married David on January 13, 1962. David and Linda took turns supporting each other as they completed their college educations. Linda earned a second degree in teaching and went to work in 1964 at Lake Sammamish high school while David completed his BS in business. The first of their three sons Sean arrived in June 1966 and Linda became a dedicated homemaker. Linda’s family grew with the arrival of two more sons in the next several years, J.D. and Jason. Linda loved the time with her three sons and her energy and compassion reached out to a wide group of friends. Over the next years the family moved several times and Linda’s caring nature touched many lives. The family acquired a cabin at White Pass in the early 1980’s and it became the central location for all of their activities. Dave and Linda returned to Yakima in 1991 where they enjoyed their home in the West Valley. Linda was an avid gardener and loved the incredible home where she lived out the rest of her life. Linda was a proud contributor and participant in a variety of active charities including the Jeannine Hedwall guild in Yakima.
Linda is survived by husband, David; sons, Sean, J.D. (Judy) and Jason Gaffney and granddaughters Hannah and Reilly. She was preceded into the next life by her brother, Joe Reynolds Jr.; parents, Joe and Dolores Reynolds and granddaughter, Clare Gaffney.
