

Lloyd Edward Patterson was born August 4, 1958 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 3, 2012 after a brave & determined battle with Liver Disease. Lloyd grew up in Mobile Alabama which he loved dearly. He joined the U.S. Army at a young age & served 6 ½ years including time spent in Germany. Lloyd met & married his wife (Vickie) while stationed in Washington State. The couple raised two children, Matthew Patterson & A’Lanna Patterson and were blessed with 2 grandsons, Hunter Dewayne & Riley Jacob Loran. Family was very important to Lloyd. Lloyd was an excellent Barber and enjoyed serving his many loyal customers thru his 25 years career. He owned & operated Gents Barber/Stylist for 15 years.
Lloyd was passionate about many things. Some things he enjoyed were: football (Seahawks & Alabama), sci-fi movies, roller coasters. He also loved Photography and won blue ribbons for his photos at the CW State Fair.
Lloyd was driven by his love for His Savior Jesus Christ & marveled at His grace and love. Lloyd was a worship leader & choir director in various churches in the valley. He had a passion for worship. Lloyd loved music and had a wide collection of songs he also collected coins and loved history.
Lloyd had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with family, friends and customers. His humor will definitely be missed.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Vickie of 28 years; a son, Matthew Lloyd Patterson; a daughter, A’Lanna D. Patterson (Andrew Loran); 2 grandsons, Hunter D. Loran, Riley J. Loran; mother, Pauline B. Wilkens of Alabama; sister, Paula Renee Patterson of Selah; brothers, Richard Patterson (Karen), David Patterson, Pagan Patterson (June) and many nieces and nephews & extended family in Yakima & Alabama; also Loynez & Bob King of Yakima and many friends and beloved customers.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank M. Patterson, brothers, Frank Patterson Jr. & William Patterson, father-in-law, Dewayne Wilkens and his grandparents, Sam & Lorena Burch.
The family would like to thank the excellent staff at U.W. MC and Crescent Heath Care for the care he received during his illness. Special thanks to Nurses Kara, and Lisa for his special care in his last days.
