

Our precious Papa ended his short battle with cancer on Feb. 15, 2010. Lyle passed peacefully at home surrounded by his girls, grandkids and his special girl Poochie as well as his beloved dog Sam.
Lyle was born on Nov. 8, 1945 in Yakima to Gordon and Fama Sherbahn. Lyle was a lifelong resident of Yakima graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1965. Shortly after graduating Lyle enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Benning, GA. His military career took him as far away as Paris, France. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was recognized as an expert with the M-14 rifle.

n 1986 Lyle met Sherry Hill through his close friend Wayne Hartman. They began their courtship shortly after and on August 15,1987 they were married in Yakima, WA. They spent the next 23 years together raising their three girls. He enjoyed family bbq's, camping trips every summer, fishing, hunting and boating.
Lyle's favorite hobbies included wood working, gardening, watching his wrestling with his grandson Jalen and attending his
youth basketball games. Lyle's greatest joy was his grandkids and great grandson.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife Sherry, daughters Candi (Nicholas) Martinez of Yakima, Brandi (Ron) Rogers of Selah, Teri (Michael) Gonzales of Pasco and an extended daughter Poochie. Grandkids: Alyx, Jalen, Mikey, Mariya and great grandson Isaac. He is also survived by his brothers Eidwell of Yakima, Wayne (Shirley) of Arizona and Rod (Helen) of
Milton, WA. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and close family friends.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Fama, his sister-in-law Sue, and his uncle Lloyd all of Yakima.
The family would like to thank all of our friends and family as well as the doctors and nurses at North Star Lodge, Memorial Hospital and Memorial Hospital Hospice for all of your help and support.
A celebration of Lyle's life will be held on Feb. 26th in Terrace Heights at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel at 4 p.m. with a reception immediately following.
