

Marcos DeLeon Sanchez, age 52, of Yakima, WA, passed away on May 10, 2025, surrounded by his immediate family. Marcos was born on March 3, 1973, in Yakima, WA. to Marcos M. Sanchez and Irene D. Sanchez.
After high school, Marcos worked in customer service and the food industry and loved to serve others. One of Marcos' great passions was cooking and barbequing for family and friends.
Marcos is survived by his son Dante Sanchez. His mother Irene Sanchez, his four siblings, Irma Valencia, Adrian Sanchez, Rosalie (Nathaniel) Stowe, and Sandra (Eric) Harvey, nephews and niece - Armando Valencia, Lorena (Arturo) Nateras, Derek Rowden, Dyllan (Erin) Rowden, and Ireland Harvey.
Marcos is preceded in death by his father Marcos M. Sanchez and paternal grandfather and both of his maternal grandparents, as well as uncles and aunts.
In his youth Marcos enjoyed participating in baseball, soccer, wrestling, and boy scouts.
Marcos attended Wapato high school and graduated in 1992. He also attended Yakima Valley Community College.
Marcos shared a special friendship and bond with Brian Renker and Greg Douglas.
Marcos was a practicing Catholic and, in his youth, served as an altar boy at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato, WA.
Marcos most memorable day was the day his son Dante was born.
Marcos was always thankful to his older brother Adrian Sanchez for the special bond they shared and the many heartfelt and humorous and enlightening conversations that they spent hours together on.
He will be dearly missed.
A visitation for Marcos will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
