Margaret (Marge) was born August 30, 1924 to Marion Charles Racich and Sabina Jacques Racich, in Los Angeles, California. She passed away on December 18, 2014 at the Cottage in the Meadow, Yakima, WA, leaving her loving family, to reside in Heaven, where she will meet her Lord.
Marge was a warm, caring, and strong individual, who enjoyed life. She was young at heart, loved to laugh and be silly (dubbed “Giggles” by one caregiver at her assisted living residence). With her loving nature, she easily made friends, including many of her Avon customers. Marge’s work ethic was outstanding, taking pride in all she did; she was especially proud of finishing her career as a store manager at Orange Julius. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, reading, and playing cards, board games, and dice games. She had a one-sided romance with the one-armed bandit when visiting Las Vegas and Reno. Marge raised her children alone, from 1954 to 1961, at which time she married her second husband, Bill. She then welcomed his two children, Denise and Mike Wallauer, into our family. She loved the Lord and her family, showing unconditional love to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Wayne Philpot (Mary), Patti Lambert (Jim), Denise Wallauer, and Karen (Susie) Roberts (Jim). Grandchildren: Cary Goodin (Loraine), Curt Goodin, Michael Philpot, Michelle Philpot, Kim Detken (Rich), Vicki Dougherty (Todd), Tavo Bustillos (Ja’Neen), DeAnna Zimmerly, and Karen Redifer (Tom); and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Sabina and Marion Charles Racich; brothers Joseph and Marion; second husband, Bill Wallauer; daughter, Carole Goodin; and stepson Mike Wallauer.
Viewing will be Friday, December 26, from 4-8 p.m., and Monday, December 29, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Langevin El Paraiso, Yakima, WA.
