

Margarito Barboza “El Pavo” Martinez, 78, was born in New Braunfels, TX to Cecilio and Florinda Martinez on June 18, 1939. He passed away on September 15, 2017 in Everett, WA, his home for the last 30 years.
He worked in various car dealerships throughout his life. His greatest passion was playing music. He was in various bands, and known as “El Pavo”. He also was an avid guitar collector and an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners and Dallas Cowboys.
His survivors include his son Margarito Martinez Jr. (Curtis) of Seattle, WA, his daughters Mary Martinez of Everett, WA, Sylvia Pola Martinez of Yakima, WA, and Olga Pola of Yakima, WA; grandchildren Fabian, Miles, Tasha, Lela, Monica, Eddy, Cassandra, Aleyjah; 12 great grandchildren; brother Ignacio (Ignacia)Martinez of Parker, his sisters Linda (Steve) Randall of Parker, Mary (Margo) Ramos of Wapato, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife of 34 years, Gloria H. Martinez, his brothers Paul, Herberto, Johnny Joe; his sisters Sally Gonzales, Conception Reyna; his nephew Paul Jr., his nieces Janie Castilleja, Patricia Pena and son-in-law Edward Pola Sr.
Visitation will be at Keith and Keith Funeral Home on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Cathedral Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
