

As a child, Marvin and his family moved to White City, Kansas and lived there until moving to Washington State in 1941. He joined the United States Army in 1943 and served during WWII with the 87th infantry while in stationed in Europe.
Marvin married briefly and had a son, Robert Sharp, who currently resides in Leesburg, Florida. In 1947, Marvin married Corine Latimer and had one daughter, Marlene Riggan, of Yakima, Washington. He worked for Western Farmers Association and later for the Yakima School District as a janitor at Franklin Middle School.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Corine; his brothers, Russell and Darrell Sharp; sisters, Imogene Burton, Georgia McFadyen, Berta Fern Fisher, Doris Clark; his parents, G. Russell and Veta Sharp; and a son-in-law, Ronald Riggan. He is survived by his daughter, Marlene Riggan of Yakima, WA; son, Robert Sharp (Barbara) of Leesburg, FL; 1 grandson, 2 granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and wife, Junior and Bennie, brother-in-law, Merle Latimer; and sister-in-law, Janelle Sharp.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Summitview Church of Christ.
