

Mary Lucille (Heger) Linger, 96 of Yakima passed away on May 22nd 2012. Mary was born on April 8, 1916 to Carl & Nellie (Brisbois) in Perham,MN. When she was three years old her family moved to Underwood, North Dakota where she was raised and attended school.
In 1936 she married LeRoy Davis. After the death of their infant daughter, she and Roy hitchhiked from No. Dakota to Washington State and added 7 more daughters to their family and later divorced. In 1956 she met her now love Ted Linger and was wed.
She worked for a time n a cannery, but most of her life she was a stay at home and homemaker. She was extremely proud of her “girls”. She loved baking, sewing, playing Bingo, fishing and playing pinochle. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted Linger, 5 brothers: Laurence, Maurice, Carl, Paul and Phillip Heger and one sister Catherine Paul and infant daughter Janice Heger.
Mary is survived by 7 daughters, Janet (Don) Pemberton of Boise, ID, Nancy (Larry) Martin of Harrah, Patsy (Rodney) Champoux of Yakima, Diane (Harold) Balcom of Evans, Kathy (Jerry) Russell of Yakima, Debbie Champoux of Vancouver, WA and Colleen (Jeff) Wilmoth of Selah.
Also survived by two sisters, Dorothea Sorenson of Selah and Eileen Perrah of Norwalk, CA. 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Peggy Coble and Ellen Rowley with Yakima Regional Hospice for their care of mom these past months and the many caregivers at Willow Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to St. Paul Cathedral and/or St. Paul Cathedral School.
