

Our beloved mother, Marylee Elizabeth Widmyer, was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 2, 2023.
Marylee was born on April 12, 1929, in (Lake Hattie Township) Bemidji, Minnesota to Dolly and James Morris. Marylee was raised in church all of her life and eventually became the church treasurer and pianist. Marylee Morris and Jack Widmyer were married by Rev. James Layne on June 1, 1957, at the Assembly of God Church in Naches, Washington. Their family of 8 began with Jack's 4 daughters from his first marriage, and together Jack and Marylee had a son and daughter.
For many years Marylee taught Sunday School and sometimes preached the service at her church. She was known for singing and playing piano in their church services. She also wrote special songs to share with her congregation.
Marylee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her daughter, Carolyn Sears of Yakima; her daughter, Joanne Widmyer of Yakima; Her sister, Nea Seed of Othello; and her brother, Henry Morris of Naches.
Marylee is survived by her children, Joyce Fitzpatrick (Mike) of Yakima; Alta Patrick of Yuba City, CA; David Widmyer (Brenda) of Yakima; Nila McCoy (Tom) of Yakima, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Marylee’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A special thanks to the staff at Hospice and to Cottage in the Meadow for their kindness in caring for Marylee.
