

Michael was born in Ellensburg, WA, to Jesse and Frances Macias on January 3, 1961. He loved surrounding himself with family and friends, barbecuing, watching boxing, and the Seahawks.
Michael graduated from A.C. Davis High School in 1979. He dedicated over 20 years to working at Northwest Packers Hide Plant. Later in life, Michael became a care giver for developmentally delayed children. They adored him.
Michael is survived by his wife, Darlene Perez-Macias; his four sons, Michael Jr, Chris, Jeremy, and Joseph, all of Yakima, WA; his mother and stepfather, Frances and Peter Cerna; and siblings, Gerri and Steven Buttrey, of Selah, David Macias of Seattle, Jesse Macias Jr. of Yakima, Richard Macias of Yakima, Ashley Macias of Yakima, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, Godchildren, and many, many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by Monica Esparza; father, Jesse Macias; sister, Patricia Thomas; and niece, April Thomas.
Michael will be missed greatly by all. He was loved by many and touched the heart of all who crossed his path. Life will never be the same without him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
