Nash Douglas Pierson, age 27, passed on to a better place with the Lord on November 2, 2019, where he will reunite with his grandparents and relatives. Nash was born on October 29, 1992 in Puyallup, WA. Nash came into the world a whopping but svelte 10 pounds. His Grandfather Al gleamed and laughed "All he needs is a pitchfork and a pair of bib overalls." Nash began his life in Buckley, WA where he learned to walk at 8 1/2 months old. He had a very advanced vocabulary for his age and was able to speak in context and clarity, even with a binky in his mouth. He was a cowboy for a while, where he donned a big black cowboy hat, western shirt, jeans, and a cowboy belt buckle, complete with boots and chaps. He was given his first horse, Koala, around age 2. His cowboy phase passed into military stage, where he usually wore a big helmet while trying to keep his weapons in order. He was a proud American and made sure his little brother was the "German”. Thane didn't know he was being made the enemy so he played along well.

At the age of 2 his family relocated to Selah, WA where he resided for the next 1 1/2 years until they moved to the Wenas Valley. Nash attended Agapeland Preschool in Selah and later started Kindergarten in Naches. Nash was fortunate to spend many days at his grandparent's farm in the Wenas Valley. Nash soon became heavily involved in sports where he excelled at football, baseball, basketball and soccer. One of his favorite pastimes was to go camping at Little Naches with friends and family. Nash enjoyed adventures such as snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. Nash will be remembered for his contagious smile, loving spirit and fun personality. Nash loved his friends and family more than anything and he was the first to stick up for anybody that was being mistreated. He would fight in a heartbeat to defend them. He was known as somebody you didn't want to mess with. Even though he looked lean, nobody wanted to see his left jab. He had a sharp tongue and competitive edge but it was all covered by his heart of gold. You couldn't take offense when Nash would say "Love ya, see ya later chodes."

Nash was always a hard worker. At age 11 he began working for our neighbor, Mr. Miller, at his farm in the Wenas Valley. He started working at his Aunt Glenda and Uncle Bill's tack and feed store in Selah before he was old enough to drive. He worked there until they closed the shop. He also spent time working with his Uncle Bill at the Hoover Farm in the Wenas Valley. Nash graduated from Naches Valley High School in 2011. Nash was a military buff and intended to become a Marine after graduation but sadly was unable to because of knee problems. That was a devastating blow to him. Nash loved history and was very knowledgeable on the subject. He collected military items, knives and guns alongside his dad. He attended Yakima Valley Community College but decided college wasn't for him and went on to work for A1 Pool for the next several years as well as some firefighting over the summer. Nash spent 17+ years in the Wenas Valley, playing with his friends and family, running wild and free. He was able to walk from his home to an old farm dump where he, his dad, brother and friends would often target practice. Nash relocated to his own place for a while with some of his friends and then moved back home with his family in Gleed. Nash recently became employed at Cabinet Tech.

Nash is the son of Michael Pierson and Valerie Pierson; the brother of Randi Backer and Thane Pierson; uncle of Colton Backer, Kaydence Schlaitzer, Ashlynn Daugherty and Kaylin Daugherty; and grandson of Patricia Pope, Alfred Pope, Diane Pierson and Douglas Pierson. Nash is family and friend to numerous people he loves. Nash was preceded in death by his grandparents: Alfred Pope, Diane Pierson and Douglas Pierson.

Services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave. Eulogy delivered by Mr. Allan Miller. Celebration of Nash's life will be held at the Pierson Residence in Gleed.

Nash was known to me as “My baby cousin.” He was the little cowboy, soldier, and idol to so many. I always bragged about Nash because I knew that he was the cool kid at the school that I graduated so many years before him. When ever I’d mention his name, he was always spoken so kindly of. Nash will forever be missed and forever be in my daily thoughts. I love you Nash ❤️ I look forward to the day that I get to see you again. I know that you are having a great time with grandpa in heaven. I love you.

Oh my, this kid. He always brought the biggest and best smiles on my face and everyone else’s. I remember in high school I would call him a little Eminem (he hated that) but it still would bring laughs and jokes. I will miss him a lot. But I know he is no longer struggling with emotions and with himself. We all know it gets hard sometimes... I just know his life will live through everyone he met. He was a great person and friend and I hope he rests easy. Love you nashley ;)

Nash, I remember playing with you and Thane as a kid and never being allowed into your cool forts because I was a girl. And even saying I was the oldest so you had to listen to me never worked. Thank you for sharing warm summers and catching frogs. You will be missed.

Nash always had a twinkle in his eye when he smiled, a devilish grin that seemed to say he was up to something. Words cannot express how my heart aches for his family. Sending you all hugs and love.
