She graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1949 as a registered nurse. While in school she married Bill Jeffries.
Nellie worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for several years. She worked 18 years for Dr. William Schuler Ginn, until he retired in 1970. She then worked for Dr. Howard Holt, for 8 years until she retired with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
She is survived by her 3 children: Jaquie (Davidson) Dodd, Jill Doll
and Patrick Jeffries; grandchildren, Dylan (Elisa) Dodd, Chelsea (Reilly) Schanno, Brock (Krista) Doll, Mandy (Seth) Thornton & Torrey Kiehl; great-grandchildren, Nick Schanno, Alexa Doll, Jackson Doll and our new baby, Lucia Victoria Dodd. Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Jeffries and grandson, Brady Doll.
