She was born in Tacoma, Washington on November 19, 1916 to William and Elizabeth Bresnahan.
Patricia graduated from Aquinas Academy in Tacoma and attended the College of Puget Sound. She moved to Yakima to work at KIT radio station. In 1941, she married Frank Coleman, her husband of 60 years. Patricia spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother of five. She enjoyed gardening and golf. The highlight of her golf career was a hole in one at the Yakima Country Club. Patricia was also an avid bridge player; a game she enjoyed with her lifelong friends until the end.
Patricia was preceded in death by husband Frank Coleman.
She is survived by her children; Marilee Fuller of Seattle, Michael (Kelly)
of Del Mar, CA, Patrick (Cynthia) of Edmonds, Thomas (Steffi) of Yakima,
and Kathleen of Renton, grandchildren; Patrick Fuller, Susannah (Evan) Jacobs, Kristin Coleman, and Kevin Coleman, and her great grandchildren Stella, Oliver, and Violet Jacobs.
Patricia often quoted this verse from Longfellow’s A Psalm of Life:
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
