Pauline LaVerne McMillan

Mom was 5 when her family moved to Lincoln, NE where she lived until graduating from Lincoln High School in 1954. She had many lifelong friends & the Nebraska Cornhuskers remained “Her Team”.

Mom planned a business career until she met then married a young Navy man, James C. McMillan; they were married at her parents home on June 6, 1954 in Lincoln, NE. She moved to Mt. View, CA where he was stationed. They had four children; James Edwin (Kim), Jacqueline Rae, Sherry LeAnne, Patrick L. (Sherry Lynn). Mom & Dad’s final move was to Yakima, WA in 1966.

Mom’s great passion was time spent with her family. She loved to sew, Elvis Presley, older country music, ice skating, the USA, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, puzzles, books, older westerns, musicals, war movies & a good hamburger.

Mom worked a variety of jobs in the different cities we lived. In Yakima she worked in the orchards, “The Country Store”, “Grants”, she retired from Fred Meyers.

Pauline is survived by her children; 11 grandchildren; 20+ great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ray (Becky), Edwin (Sharon) both of Lincoln, NE; sister in law, Marian (Charles) Zimmerman of Union Gap; many nieces & nephews and family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
