

Peggy Mae Gordon, born on March 25, 1958, in Yellville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at UW Hospital after a long and courageous battle with health issues. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Peggy's life was a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of family. Her warmth and humor touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and heartfelt connections.
Peggy was the daughter of Jesse and Edith (Whiteside) Riggs. She was known for her incredible cooking skills, which brought family and friends together around the dinner table. Her sassy wit and caring nature made her a wonderful mother and grandmother, and she was always the life of the party, bringing smiles and laughter wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Gordon, her mother, Edith Riggs, and her father Jesse Riggs. Peggy is survived by her loving daughter, Erica (Ron) Mears of Yakima, and her sons, Andy (Poppy) Gordon of Tieton and Virgil (Tina) Gordon of Anacortes, Washington and son by love Jamie Tucker. She was a proud grandmother to Austin, Abigail, Drew, Misty, Holly, Wendy, Lexi, Roniann and Becca .
Peggy is also survived by her sisters, Betty (Roger) King, Diana (Boyd) Turner, Sister-in-Law Leona (Mike) Mason, brother-in-law Kevin (Nancy) Gordon, and Sister-in-Law Peggy Gordon, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and those who were considered family. A special thank you is extended to Betty and Roger King for their unwavering support and care throughout Peggy's life and medical journey. Additionally, heartfelt gratitude goes to John (Danae) King, who provided unconditional support and held a special place in Peggy's heart.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who offered prayers, support, and kindness during this challenging time. Your compassion did not go unnoticed and was deeply appreciated. A special acknowledgment is also given to the staff at University of Washington Hospital in Seattle for their exceptional care and sensitivity throughout Peggy's journey. We are eternally grateful to the donor family who gave Peggy another year on this Earth through their tragic loss.
A viewing for Peggy will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Keith and Keith Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. A reception will immediately follow, with details provided during the service and all are invited to attend. A live stream will be available for those who are unable to attend in person. The link can be found on the Keith and Keith website under her name. In honor of Peggy's wishes, attendees are encouraged to wear Seahawks gear or their favorite team apparel. If sports are not your passion, come as you are. Peggy envisioned a casual celebration filled with food, family, friends, and laughter.
Peggy Mae Gordon will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
