Phyllis R. Whitcher (Frueh), 81, was born on February 13, 1936, in Anamoose, North Dakota, to Art and Amy Frueh. All too soon on January 12, 2018, in Auburn, Wa., she was taken from us… and sent to a very special place. MY WIFE and MY LIFE, my soul mate, my lover, my confidant, my mentor, my partner, my comedian, my high school sweet heart (both graduates of Davis 1954), through all of our 61 years of marriage… through all the good and bad, she remained an overall life advisor. May God bless her and keep her forever. She loved and was very proud of her children, Patricia, David, and Becky, along with their choices of sons and daughters in law, Charlie, Becky and James… and subsequent grandchildren, Austin, Holly, Cole, Madeline, Lindsey and Elle. She and I (we) were married 1956 in Yakima, Wa., and spent many years there with stints in Portland and Pendleton / Hermiston, Or., and Worland, Wy., while I was with Pacific Power and Light Company. Some of her most favorite things in life were Cannon Beach, Christmas, and family get togethers. And no one was excluded from her very wry sense of humor. Even with her numerous late life medical issues and onset of dementia she remained a warrior with a never give up attitude. Because of that God has chosen her for a special assignment and there’s no doubt she will make Him proud. Although she’s no longer with us she will never be forgotten. Thank you honey for spending your life with me.
