Mr. Buechler was born in Koto Township, N.D. He lived most of his life in Yakima. He drove for various transportation businesses over the years.
Survivors include his companion, Kathy Forte; two sons, Calvin Buechler and Robert Buechler of Yakima; a daughter, Nita Hartshorn of Yakima; two stepsons, Brian Ziegler of Yakima and Jeff Ziegler of Moscow, Idaho; a brother, Gary Buechler of Kirkland; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
