Robert was born in Yakima, Washington on August 26, 1929. He lived in Los Angeles for many years and worked for the Federal Employees Distribution Company for 26 years. During his tenure he was a warehouse supervisor. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until 1951.
He is survived by a half-brother, Bill Richards of Zillah, WA, several nieces and nephews and a cousin, Rozanne Leiferman and her husband, Bill of Yakima.

Visitation will be held at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled at West Hills Memorial Park on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Full military honors will be provided by members of William Wharton Post #379, VFW and Washington State National Guard.
