Robert was born May 17, 1927 at Sarrail, Alberta, Canada. He moved to Washington as a boy. Robert married Ethel Louise Kanzig in 1950.
Robert was in the Army. Once out of the military he worked as an iron worker. Robert was a longtime member of the Yakima Ridge Runners Jeep Club and helped many charitable organizations.
He leaves behind his two children, Robert J. Wells and Debra J. Gilland; his granddaughter, Dee (Clif) Taylor; three great grandchildren; one sister, Goldie (Lawrence) Duckworth and two brothers, Jerry (Rayanne) Wells and Phillip (Marcie) Wells.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Louise Wells; his parents Oscar Wells and Mae Whitish; a grandson, John Gilland; two brothers, David Wells and Albert Wells, and two sisters, Dorothy Grim and Evelyn Davenport.
